NAASR Takes Part in Workshop on Genocide

Armenian Museum of America NAASR National Council for the Social Studies The Genocide Education Project

We are thrilled to report that our first full-day workshop with educators was an incredibly gratifying experience. In collaboration with The Genocide Education Project, we were selected by the National Council for the Social Studies to provide a one-day workshop as part of their annual conference, which took place in Boston, MA, this year. Over 40 teachers from around the country were able to tour our library and building, as well as learn about the history of NAASR and why institutions like NAASR are so important for any group that has suffered from any kind of atrocity crime, as well as the impact of genocide denial when using open-source websites. We would like to thank the Armenian Museum of America for hosting the morning portion of the event.
