Yeghishe Charents (1897–1937)
Yeghishe Charents Եղիշէ Չարենց was one of the most celebrated Armenian poets and writers of the 20th century. Born in Kars, his poetry captures the spirit, beauty, and resilience of the Armenian people. Charents’s works continue to inspire readers with their lyrical depth and enduring love for Armenia.
Yeghishe Charents House-Museum (Yerevan, Armenia)
The Yeghishe Charents House-Museum in Yerevan preserves the poet’s home, where he lived from 1935 to 1937. Established in 1964 and opened to the public in 1975, it holds his personal belongings, manuscripts, letters, and part of his vast library.
Through the visual tour led by Gohar Cherents his granddaughter and a scientific researcher of the Museum, visitors will learn about Charents’s life, literary works, Armenian poetry, and stories from his legendary life.
Organized by the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR).
