An American-Armenian granddaughter of genocide survivors ventures across the world to uncover long-buried truths in their forbidden ancestral homeland. A chance encounter with a Scottish explorer leads to a joint odyssey beneath the surface of modern-day Turkey, revealing sacred relics, silenced voices, and the hidden map. It is a story of discovery, heartbreak, and hope that belongs to all of humanity. The Hidden Map earned more than a dozen international festival selections and honors, notably a special screening in the United Kingdom Parliament, and was considered for three 2021 Primetime Emmys, including Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking.
The Hidden Map premiered nationwide on NBCLS in April 2021, and was on television when the United States officially recognized the 1915 Armenian Genocide. PBS SoCal (Public Broadcasting Service) featured the documentary in December 2021, followed by its June 2022 national release to hundreds of cities.
