Hagop Boghos Kalemkiarian (1897-1959), eldest son of Boghos Hagop Kalemkiarian, wrote these memoirs of his father and their family in 1948, while they lived in Cairo, Egypt. His entire working life was with the British Forces in the Middle East. In addition, with his brother Vahram, he owned and operated the Sahag Mesrob Printing Press in Cairo. Paul Hagop Kalemkiarian, eldest son of Hagop and Alice Kalemkiarian, undertook the publishing of this memoir as a tribute, such that future generations of Kalamkaris' will have a record of their roots. (2007 edition is edited and transcribed by two of his grandchildren Paul Hagop Kalemkiarian and Alice Kalemkiarian)
