This is an anthology of memoirs and studies in the biography of the Honored Pedagogue of Armenia, Rima Khachatryan, a daughter of an émigré – Siranush Martirosyan, who escaped from the Armenian Genocide and found shelter in the orphanage of the Near East Relief, was educated there, and got the best possible start in life through learning and developmental support. In the years that followed, Siranush got married, gave birth to three children, and settled in Armenia. Her daughter Rima had access to opportunities throughout her life, and became a renowned educator and a prominent trade union leader, travelled all over the world, disseminated the ideas of humanity, compassion, and liberty, and became an “unwitting participant in the process of peaceful settlement of the Armenian-Turkish relations.”
