TRAUMA AND RESILIENCE: Armenians in Turkey - Hidden, Not Hidden, and No Longer Hidden
by Raffi Bedrosyan, Introduction by Fethiye Cetin and Taner Akcam
Armenians in Turkey have faced decades of officially-sanctioned discrimination and forced assimilation as Muslims. Only recently have there been efforts to oppose such a traumatic process, with the emergence of a new category of "hidden" and "not hidden" Armenians in Turkey. This process has been in parallel with Turkey's democratization, especially between 2005 and 2015. This book gives a vivid account of the fate of such Armenians.
