DAVID OF SASSOUN

One of the great epics of world literature, David of Sassoun dates back to the 9th century. It was recorded in the 1870's by Armenian clerics. Well known in Asia Minor and the Middle East, it remains Armenia's greatest identifying national symbol, beside Mt. Ararat.
