On the occasion of the April 3, 1995 election of the Catholicos of All Armenians, this overview was published for the general readership to acquaint themselves with the circumstances by which the Catholicoi of All Armenians have been elected over the course of history.

Originally published in Armenian, as an appendix to in Horizon Weekly, Montreal, Canada, Catholicoi of Etchmiadzin was subsequently printed in New York, made possible through a grant by Sona Zorabedian of Providence, Rhode Island.
