General Antranig Ozanian as related to L.G. Louledgian and translated by Ara Stepan Melkonian
This book is an epic account of the exploits of a small group of Armenian revolutionaries against the regime of Sultan Abdul Hamid II. It is an account of a battle, led by Antranig Ozanian – more popularly known as General Antranig or Antranig Pasha – at Sourp Arakelots Monastery near the town of Moush in 1901. Set in the aftermath of the Hamidian massacres of 1895-96 this account gives rare insights into the world of Armenian guerilla fighters (fedayees) and explains their enduring legacy. This work is an original translation and includes additional maps and diagrams.
