Armenia: Cradle of Civilization

Regular price $ 80.00 $ 0.00

By David Marshall Lang

Professor Lang has been interested in Armenia and the Armenians for over a quarter of a century. During World War II he was stationed in Tabriz, on the south-eastern fringe of ancient Greater Armenia. He was able to talk to survivors of the Young Turk massacres of 1915, and to drive close to the foothills of Ararat. More recently, in 1966 and 1968, Professor Lang paid two visits to Soviet Armenia as a guest of the Academy of Sciences. He delved into every aspect of Armenian cultural life, and even explored several caves there in search of the stone implements left behind by Paleolithic man.
