HOMAGE TO H.H. CATHOLICOS KAREKIN I HOVSEPIANTZ

This intimate photographic essay first appeared in Vol. I of Armenian Affairs (1949), quarterly journal of the Armenian National Council of America. With slight changes in text, it is reprinted in homage to the late Catholicos Karekin I Hovsepiantz. And in respect to the Great House of Cilicia. May in serve as a reminder that the Armenian Church is the enduring symbol of an historic nation- One, Everlasting, Indestructible! May it serve as a unifying force between Etchmiadzin and Cilicia, mighty branches born of the same root, nourished and defended for nearly two millenia by the same people, blessed in eternity by the One who created us all.
