By Hovhannes Mugrditchian, Edited by Paul Martin

To Armenians with Love is Hovhannes Mugrditchian's eloquent testament of his life, a tale told boldly but lovingly.  He grew up in Armenia, which at the time was part of the Ottoman Empire, and later became a teacher and married. Mr. Mugrditchian's odyssey took him and his wife to America, where they were able to make a good life for themselves and their family. Love for their homeland eventually brought him and his wife back to Armenia, then part of the USSR. For five years they endured hardships under Stalin's terror, stayed eight more years to help rebuild the nation, then returned to America. From his boyhood days in Cilicia at the turn of the 20th century, until his death in 1974, Mugrditchian devoted his life to the well-being of his fellow Armenians and to the restoration of a free Armenia.
