SYNOPSIS OF THE BOOKS OF ADAM and EVE

Regular price $ 24.95 $ 0.00

edited by Gary A. Anderson and Michael E. Stone

The study of the pseudepigraphic Life of the Adam and Eve has been largely determined by the issues set forth in the Greek (Apocalypse of Moses) and the Latin (The Life of Adam and Eve) versions. In this 1994 volume, all of the major witnesses to this text have been assembled and arranged in synoptic form. The Greek and Latin versions have been presented in their original languages, whereas the Slavonic, Armenian, and Georgian have been left in the European languages in which they were published. The synoptic arrangement of the relevant texts facilitates the comparative study of major themes and issues in the several version so f this widely disseminated document. A wonderful source book.
