By Norma Katzakian

As this book begins, Naomi is a little girl living in Sacramento, California during the great depression years of the 1930's. Most of her adventures here recorded really happened. This is her story, the struggles and triumphs and the learning experiences that come her way. Her immigrant parents are also the richer for the insights that Naomi brings to them, sometimes quietly, sometimes noisily, but always with an opinion. Even though this book is intended for younger readers, I hope adults will find reminders of themselves at one time in their lives and ponder the "olden days".  - Norma Katzakian
