By Loris Tjeknavorian

Credo is a presentation of Loris Tjeknavorian's Symphony No. 2 originally written for the 65th anniversary of the Armenian genocide, with the legendary silent film "Ravished Armenia." A sensation upon its release in 1919, the Hollywood produced epic is a harrowing dramatization of the genocide starring Aurora Mardiganian, a young girl who had survived the horrors of deportation in 1915, and upon whose experiences the film is based. Mysteriously, all copies of "Ravished Armenia" were lost except for a single 15-minute fragment that is presented here in its entirety for the first time in DVD. has used the melodic jewels of Armenian church music in his Credo Symphony.

Featuring a landmark recording of Symphony No 2 by the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir conducted by Loris Tjeknavorian, Credo is at turns moving, terrifying and beautiful, a unique and unforgettable experience. (22 minutes)
