Aurora Mardiganian was a survivor of the Armenian Genocide. The diary of her experiences was published in 1918 under the title "Ravished Armenia." A silent movie, called "Auction of Souls," also appeared in 1918. This is a story of the movie and its tragic and beautiful star.
