On March 15, 1921, Soghomon Tehlirian shot and killed former Ottoman Grand Vizier and principal architect of the Armenian Genocide Talaat Pasha in Berlin, as part of a larger effort to exact justice for the destruction of the Armenian people by the Ottoman government. The killing and the trial that followed it drew the attention of the world, and its repercussions continue to resonate a century later.
